The Singapore-based company Zeepin is working on an innovative solution for creators, distributors and manufacturers to protect the value of copyright, boost productivity and growth using Blockchain technology. There dApp (decentralized App) ZeeWallet is an open-source cryptocurrency wallet built on Zeepin blockchain (ZPT) that can be used in all dApps of the Zeepin ecosystem. You can store, send, receive and track all ZPT-based cryptocurrencies on the ZeeWallet.
To understand the client and the targeted users of the application I started with an indeeped exploration phase not only to get used to the already existing version of the wallet but also to understand what Zeepin as a company is all about. In this way I could ensure to improve the visual appearance of the dApp in an appropriate and appealing way.
As my job was to redesign the already existing application the next step was to analyse it's current structure. Also I could derive the userflow from it and how the seperate functions and options are connected to each other.
Below you can see the basic userflow as a flowchart and Wireframe, which show the main functions and how they could be approved. Both, flowchart and wireframes, are the first blueprints for further discussions about the application.
After the described analysis phase and based on the flowchart and the wireframes, my job as an Art Director and UX/UI Designer was to improve the dApp from a conceptual standpoint.
I created a styleguide for specific components and addapted forms, colors, typography and illustrations from the website of Zeepin as well as from already existing products to create an consistant visual language.
In the last step everything mentioned above came together to optimize the ZeeWallet and create a look and feed which is appropriate to the product.
I combined the components and the defined styles in a new way to create an improved interface and finally create a unique user experience. Below you can find the final results of the whole process.
